Pickering
Interfaces PXI IVI drivers |
These drivers are suitable for use with all Iviswtch compliant
Pickering PXI switch cards in System 40 and system 50.
For information on compatible switch card models, see
compatibility list
Supports NI Switch Executive, NI LabWindows/CVI, Borland C++,
Microsoft Visual C++ and NI LabVIEW
NOTE: Version 2.08 is LabViewRT compatible
NOTE: Version 3.05 is compatible with both Pickering LXI and PXI ranges of products.

| Pickering Interfaces pilpxi Wrapper for Agilent VEE |
This wrapper facilitates the use of the Pickering Direct IO driver, pilpxi, from Agilent VEE. First install pipx40, selecting the option for the Direct IO driver, then install the following file which creates an additional folder, c:PickeringVEE, containing the requires header file and some example programs.

General purpose PI-MXT diagnostic tool software for simplified testing of Pickering Interfaces PXI switching modules of all types.
The tool can be used to find faults in a defective switching module, or to provide confirmation that a module is operating correctly.
To be used with a PXI module dependent test adapter (see also 90-100-001).

Notice: Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 or later |
An installation created by Pickering Setup versions prior
to 11 October 2002 may cause a blue screen error at start-up
with Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 applied (or any subsequent
Service Packs, it must be assumed).
To recover from this situation:
- Boot the machine in Safe Mode (as administrator) or
with the MS-DOS boot diskette.
- Erase the file windrvr.sys from the WINNTsystem32drivers
directory.
- Reboot. If you chose to boot in safe mode to erase
windrvr.sys, after the first reboot you will still see
the blue screen, but a second reboot should resolve the
problem.
- Re-install the Pickering software using the latest
version of Setup

VISA Runtime Library
The Pickering pipx40 and pi40iv drivers require VISA implementation
4.1 or later. Users of earlier versions can update to the
latest release through http://www.ni.com/downloads/

IVI Engine
The Pickering pi40iv driver requires IVI Engine version
1.6 or later. The latest release can be obtained through
http://www.ni.com/downloads/

Iviswtch Class Driver
When using the pi40iv driver a set of basic IVI class drivers,
including a driver for the Iviswtch class, are available
for download through http://www.ni.com/ivi/
. An enhanced version is included in the NI IVI Driver Toolset.
