PXI and Ethernet LXI Switching Solutions and Diagnostic Test Tools to be Displayed

Pickering Interfaces, a leading provider of signal switching and instrumentation solutions used in electronic test and simulation, will showcase their broad catalog of PXI and Ethernet LXI switching solutions at SEMICON West booth 6367 on July 14-15 in San Francisco, CA

Pickering will show their PXI & LXI Switching Solutions at Semicon WestThese products include Pickering’s PXI Power Relays, PXI RF Matrices, PXI Microwave Multiplexers, PXI Battery Simulators, and PXI & LXI Chassis. A sampling of Pickering’s latest products on display are highlighted below:

16 Amp PXI Power Multiplexer (40-662) – available in seven configurations ranging from 4-off 2:1 multiplexers to 1-off 16:1 multiplexer. Careful attention to the switching design ensures that these PXI modules can carry the full 16A current on each path simultaneously over the complete operating temperature range. They are also capable of switching 300VDC or 250VAC.

PXI Programmable Resistor and Relay Module (40-294)
a lower density and lower cost module family for simulating variable resistors. These modules have 12 channel options with resolutions of 0.25 Ohm to 2 Ohm and channel counts of two or four. They have the option of eight extra SPST relays that can be used for extending the resistance range or for other switching functions within a test system. All versions use high-quality instrument grade reed relays to ensure long service life and fast setting times.

PXI Microwave Multiplexer (40-784A) – these support single, dual, or triple SP4T or SP6T relays and are available in a variety of different frequency options for 50Ω, from 6GHz to 40GHz. All models occupy just two 3U PXI slots and feature LED’s that indicate which path of the multiplexer is closed.

PXI BRIC Family of Large Matrix Modules and Multiplexers – the use of high-density packaging and integrated backplanes enables these large matrices to be implemented with no user configuration or special matrix expansion cabling. These matrices use thru-hole relays and can be serviced using standard de-soldering tools, simplifying repair and reducing downtime.  Our BRIC's integrated design ensures high matrix performance with high signal bandwidth and fewer system implementation errors.

LXI Wideband Modular Matrix (65-110) – offers an RF solution that can be easily reconfigured by the removal and insertion of sub-cards. This matrix provides routing for up to 16 of 104 X connections simultaneously to 16 measuring devices on the Y-axis with a usable BW of 500MHz. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, known as CERN, chose this matrix for the switching system to be deployed on its Oasis monitoring system.

eBIRST Switching System Test Tools - Also highlighted in the booth will be their new eBIRST Switching System eBIRST Switching System Test ToolsTest Tools. These tools, designed specifically for Pickering’s PXI, PCI or LXI (Ethernet) products, simplify switching system faultfinding by quickly testing the system and graphically identifying the faulty relays.
Pickering Interfaces stands behind all of their manufactured products with a standard three-year warranty and guaranteed long-term product support.

Pickering will co-exhibit with their sister company, Pickering Electronics. Pickering Electronics designs and manufactures high-quality reed relays, intended principally for use in Instrumentation and Test Equipment. Learn more at www.pickeringrelay.com.
