Pickering Interfaces has expanded its range of 2A BRIC matrices with the introduction of the 40-568 - a high density multi-slot BRIC occupying 2, 4 or 8 slots of a PXI chassis providing a range of 1 pole matrix solutions from 75x4 to 600x4, substantially increasing the density of 2A matrices compared to the competition.
The product range uses high quality electro-mechanical relays to achieve a 2A switch rating and 60W power capability to voltages up to 100VDC, 70VAC.

PXI 2 Amp Multiplexer - April 2013
Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of low cost PXI multiplexers with the introduction of the 40-635 . Configurations vary from a single 64:1 MUX to an octal 8:1 MUX for single pole configurations, a single 32:1 and dual 16:1 two pole MUX, a single 16:1 and dual 8:1 MUX with 4 poles and an 8:1 eight-pole MUX. Lower density versions are also available to suit applications requiring smaller configurations with module specific low cost cable options for added cost savings. All configurations are rated up to 2A and up to 300VDC/250 VAC with a peak power rating of 60W to 220VDC.

PXI Solid State Matrix - March 2013
Pickering Interfaces has introduced a new PXI matrix - the 40-501 , a single slot 3U PXI module providing a high voltage 64x4 solid state matrix solution. The 40-501 is rated to 100V with 150mA hot switching and the ability to withstand 350mA surges. This makes the module ideal for applications requiring frequent hot switching of high voltages. The switching life is unlimited while used within ratings and the operating speed is comparable with reed relay solutions.

PXI Solid State Versatile Multiplexer - January 2013
Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of solid state PXI versatile multiplexers with the introduction of the 40-683 . This is a single slot 3U PXI module providing a versatile multiplexer solution capable of supporting multiple MUX configurations that include single pole, two pole and multiple bank capabilities from a single module. Typical selectable configurations vary from a single bank 128:1 MUX to 8 banks of 8:1-2 pole MUXs with all the MUX possibilities from a single module.

LXI Wideband Modular Matrix - November 2012
The 65-110 is a new modular matrix providing routing for up to 16 of 104 X connections simultaneously to 16 measuring devices on the Y axis with a usable BW of 500MHz. A version supporting 8 Y connections is also available. The unit is fully scalable – users can add X connections in blocks of 8 up to 104 by simply adding or removing plugin boards. Plugin modules can be added by users in the field; the chassis detects the presence of the plugin modules and configures the unit as a single matrix. The modular construction is made invisible to the user and the Java based soft front panel presents the user with a simple integrated graphical interface reflecting the build of the matrix.

PXI USB 2.0 Hub With Data and Power Switching - September 2012
Pickering Interfaces has expanding its range of PXI modules supporting USB products with a new module, the 40-738 , that adds USB 2.0 interfacing to PXI test solutions.
The 40-738 is a single slot 3U PXI module that combines a USB 2.0 hub and USB data and power switching to provide a programmatically controlled connection between the PXI controller’s PCI interface and USB products. The USB products can be devices under test or USB instrumentation. The module supports the operation of 8 USB products and provides standard USB 0.5A device power on all channels.

PXI High Density 2 Amp BRIC Matrix - September 2012
Pickering Interfaces is expanding its popular range of innovative PXI BRIC matrices with an extremely high density 2 Amp matrix solution, the 40-567 capable of supporting a 176x8 2A matrix in a 4 slot BRIC or 352x8 in an 8 slot BRIC.
The module uses an integrated backplane system and plugin modules to create a scalable matrix. Users are able to order 1 pole matrix sizes from 44x8 to 176x8 in 4 slots and 44x8 to 352x8 in 8 slots in increments of 44x8. High quality electro-mechanical relay are used to achieve a 2A switch rating capable of hot switching up to 60W at voltages up to 100V.

PXI 6GHz Matrix - September 2012
Pickering Interfaces has expanding its range of 6Ghz solid state switching modules with the introduction of the first RF solid state matrix in PXI, the 40-884 . The module provides a 4x4 matrix which occupies 3 slots of a 3U PXI chassis. The design provides excellent input VSWR to greater than 6GHz and features high port to port isolation to ensure that input and output signals do not interfere with each other. Input and output connections are provided on robust SMA connectors and all unused ports are automatically terminated in 50Ohms.

PXI High Density Multiplexer - September 2012
Pickering Interfaces has introduced a new high density PXI multiplexer - the 40-611 . The module provides the highest density 2A MUX solution available in 3U PXI. It is offered as either a 1-pole 158:1 MUX or as a 2-pole 79:1 MUX. Each model is rated at 2A switching up to 60W and voltages up to 300VDC. Expansion of MUX size is supported by daisy chaining modules together with external cabling to allow the creation of larger multiplexers.

Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of PXI power matrices with the introduction of the 40-549 and 40-551 . The 40-549 is a 5A matrix available in a variety of 32 and 64 crosspoint configurations with Y axis sizes of x4 and x8. Maximum switching voltage is 110VDC or 250VAC. The 40-551 is a 10A matrix configured as an 8x4 matrix that switches voltages up to 125VDC and 250VAC and features an optional loop thru facility that simplifies matrix expansion. The 40-551 is also available in 8x2 and 4x4 configurations. Both the 40-549 and 40-551 use high quality electromechanical relays which offer long service life.

PXI Microwave Switching Solutions - November 2011
Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of 3U PXI Microwave switch solutions with the introduction of the 40-784 . It supports one or two microwave switches in just 2 3U PXI slots and is available in un-terminated 4 way (SP4T) and 6 way (SP6T) multiplexer configurations. Each configuration is available with a 6GHz, 26.5GHz or 40GHz specified frequency range.

PXI 10 Amp Fault Insertion Switch - November 2011
Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of PXI Fault Insertion solutions with the introduction of the 40-199 . Fault Insertion Switches are used within an Automatic Test System to simulate common fault conditions such as an open circuit, short to ground or a short to other connections in a device under test. The 40-199 provides 10 fault insertion channels that can be connected to either (or both) of two fault buses. Each fault insertion channel can switch up to 125VDC with powers up to 300W or 250VAC at up to 2500VA. Each channel can carry and hot switch 10A. Both fault buses are rated at 20A enabling each one to support two 10A fault conditions.

PXI 6GHz RF Switch Modules - September 2011
Pickering is expanding its range of 3U PXI RF/Microwave solutions with the introduction of 4 new modules with frequency coverage to 6GHz.
The 40-880 is a 10MHz to 6GHz solid state SPDT switch available as dual, quad, hex and octal configurations.
The 40-881 is a 10MHz to 6GHz solid state SP6T available as a single or dual version.
The 40-882 is a 10MHz to 6GHz solid state SP4T switch available in single, dual, triple or quad configurations.
The 6GHz switch solutions occupy one, two or three 3U PXI slots depending on the configuration.
The 41-182 is a 10MHz to 6GHz solid state programmable attenuator available in single, dual or triple configurations, each attenuator having an attenuation range of 0 to 31.75dB in 0.25dB steps.
Each module uses solid state switches to ensure a very long service life when used within their rating and all switches include automatic termination of unused paths.

6U PXI High Density Matrix Modules - September 2011
Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of 6U PXI products with the introduction of the 45-541 and the 45-542 high density matrices . The 45-541 is a reed relay matrix occupying one slot of a 6U PXI chassis which provides a 132x8 matrix that supports 0.5A switching and up to 10W hot switch capacity. The 45-542 is an electro-mechanical relay (EMR) based matrix occupying just one slot of a 6U PXI chassis supporting a 132x8 matrix with 1A, 60W switching capacity. The new modules each provide the highest density single slot solutions available in the 6U PXI format and are ideal for those users who have selected the increased board area that 6U offers over 3U PXI.

PXI SPDT RF Switch - September 2011
Pickering has added to its range of RF switching solutions with the introduction of the 40-754 50 ohm RF SPDT Switch. The 40-754 has 17 separate SPDT multiplexer banks and is available as a single slot module with multi-way connectors and 500MHz bandwith, or as a dual slot module with SMB connectors and 1.2GHz bandwidth. Versions with 9 SPDT switches are also available.

PXI High Density Multiplexer Modules - September 2011
Pickering has expanded its range of PXI multiplexers with the introduction of the 40-570 and the 40-571 . They are based on the established Pickering Interfaces BRIC modules and provide a solution for applications requiring high pole count multiplexers. The 40-570 can be ordered in a variety of configurations extending from 6 channels of 160 poles to 96 channels of 10 poles, it is rated for 1A switching and voltages up to 100V. The 40-571 has a higher current rating of 3A and can be ordered in a variety of configurations extending from 6 channels of 48 poles to 48 channels of 6 poles.

The 60-590 is an LXI conformant high density matrix available in 40x40 or 40x20 formats and has provision for loop thru connections and isolated Y axis monitoring. It has a current rating of 2A and supports up to 60W hot switching and voltages up to 300VDC. The design uses high quality EMRs to ensure long service life and repeatable operation.

PXI Fault Insertion Modules - July 2011
Pickering has added to its range of PXI Fault Insertion Switches with the introduction of the 40-197 and the 40-198 . The 40-197 is available with 34 or 16 channels with 4 fault insertion buses and has 2A current handling. The 40-198 has 20 channels with 1 or 2 fault insertion buses and has 5A current handling. Both modules are suitable for simulating faults such as open circuit, short circuit or short to ground in automotive ECU burn-in/endurance testing applications.

Pickering has added to its range of RF switching solutions with the introduction of the 40-755 50 ohm RF multiplexer. PXI Battery Simulator - March 2011
Pickering has added to its range of PXI Battery Simulator products with the 41-753 Battery Simulator designed to provide battery simulation for devices such as cellular phones. As well as having a fast responding sense system for regulating remote loads, the 41-753 includes a variable output resistance control to simulate the output resistance of typical batteries.

PXI Programmable Power Supply - July 2010
Pickering introduces a new PXI Programmable Power Supply. The 41-743 has a single channel capable of providing 2A at output voltages up to 20V and 0.8A up to 48V. The power supply includes remote sense connections to allow load sensing at the end of cables. A voltage monitor and programmable current limit is included and the module supports PXI Triggering as well as external triggering.

Pickering has introduced a new 8-channel multiplexer specifically designed for switching USB signals. The 40-737 is suitable for bulk testing USB devices and is compatible with USB1.1 and USB2.0. Each path is designed to be compliant to USB cabling standards with controlled impedance data lines and low impedance power lines.

PCIe to PXI Interface Kit - April 2010
Pickering introduces a new interface for controlling a PXI chassis. The 41-924-001 kit provides a simple solution for connecting modern PCs with PCIe slots to a PXI chassis. The kit contains a single lane PCIe card, a connecting lead and a PXI module for insertion into Slot 1 of any PXI chassis. The 41-924 provides a seamless connection between the PC’s PCIe Bus and the PXI chassis backplane. It is an alternative to the 41-921-001-KIT which uses a PCI slot rather than a PCIe slot in the PC.

PXI 2 Amp Fault Insertion Switch - April 2010
Pickering has introduced a new version of the 40-190 Fault Insertion Switch. The 40-190B is a fault insertion module that increases the number of fault channels from 64 to 74 compared to the 40-190 without compromising the module signal ratings. Like the 40-190, the 40-190B uses a 160 pin DIN41612 which is fully supported by a large range of Pickering Interfaces interconnection accessories.

Pickering introduces a new RF multiplexer module. The 40-873 is a 50 ohm multiplexer which features one or two 4:1 multiplexer banks with terminated inputs in a single PXI slot. It is designed for switching applications up to 3GHz and features excellent VSWR and low insertion loss.

LXI High Voltage Matrix - February 2010
Pickering has introduced a new LXI switching matrix for high voltage switching applications. Designed to withstand voltages up to 1kV with up to 2A of carry current, the 60-311 provides a dense and cost effective solution for switching high voltages. It is offered in single, dual and triple 75x4 matrix configurations and has X and Y loop-thru connections to simplify matrix expansion. Additionally, X and Y isolation switching is included for disconnecting unused signal paths and preserving bandwidth.

Pickering has expanded its range of LXI based RF switching solutions with the introduction of two new matrices. The 60-730 is available in sizes of 32x16, 16x16, 16x8 and 8x8, has an impedance of 75 ohms and a bandwidth of 1GHz. The 60-771 is available in sizes of 32x8, 24x8, 16x8 and 8x8, has an impedance of 50 ohms and a bandwidth of 2.5GHz. Both matrices can be supplied in other configurations and alternative connector types can be fitted to suit the customer's application.

PXI 6-Channel Battery Simulator Module - November 2009
Pickering Interfaces has introduced a new battery simulator module with 6-channels suitable for emulating the battery stacks used in electric vehicle propulsion systems. The 41-752 is capable of supplying up to 300mA per channel, and each channel is adjustable from 0V to 7V. A current sink feature is included to simulate a battery under charge where each channel is capable of sinking 100mA. The channels of a module can be connected in series, and multiple modules can be connected in series to create a stack of over 100 channels supported in a single PXI or Modular LXI chassis.

PXI Digital I/O Module - June 2009
Pickering Interfaces has introduced a new digital I/O module to its PXI module range with 32 input and 32 output channels. The 40-413 is available in 3 versions: The 40-413-001 has 32 high-side output drivers capable of sourcing 2A, the 40-413-002 has 32 low-side output drivers capable of sinking 2A, and the 40-413-003 has 32 outputs which can be individually used as high-side drivers or low-side drivers. All versions have 32 digital input channels which can be compared to two user programmable threshold voltages, making it simple to check that the external inputs are high, low or at an intermediate voltage.

8 and 19 Slot PXI Chassis - March 2009
The 40-922 and 40-923 are 8 slot and 19 slot PXI chassis with high cooling capacity and advanced user features. Cooling is carried out with temperature controlled variable speed fans giving a low acoustic noise output. An intelligent chassis management system continuously monitors the chassis supply voltages, temperature and fan speeds, this status information is also available externally via an RS232 interface. Optional rack mounting kits are available for both chassis to enable easy integration into a rack based test system.

PCI Precision Resistor Card - March 2009
Pickering Interfaces has introduced a new precision resistor card to its PCI module range. The 50-297 is a high density resistor simulator with a broad resistance range and high channel count which provides similar functionality to Pickering Interfaces well established 40-297 PXI solution. It is available in 3 standard configurations having resistance ranges of 1ohm to 230ohm, 2ohm to 13.5kohm and 3ohm to 1.5Mohm with 18, 9 and 6 channels respectively. The 6 channel version has a setting resolution of 0.125ohm.

PXI Digital I/O Module With Variable Threshold - January 2009
Pickering Interfaces has introduced a new digital input/output module with variable threshold. The 40-412 is fully PXI compliant and provides 32 input channels and 32 output channels. The outputs can operate as either high-side or low-side drivers, and each channel can source 0.4A or sink 0.5A. The input channels have dual programmable thresholds allowing the user to program the high, low and intermediate states of incoming signals. The 40-412 is complimentary to 64 channel low side driver PXI module, 40-411 , also available from Pickering Interfaces.

LXI Modular Switching Chassis - November 2008
The 60-102 supports 7 PXI modules and the 60-103 supports 18 PXI modules. These chassis allow 3U PXI modules from Pickering's range of over 500 to be controlled in an LXI environment. This includes a huge range of switching modules together with additional test functions such as programmable power supplies, battery simulators, attenuators, digital I/O, breadboards and programmable resistor cards. The LXI interface allows the chassis to be controlled remotely over Ethernet.

PXI Resistive Strain Gauge Simulator Module - October 2008
Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of sensor simulators with a Strain Gauge Simulator Module. The 40-265 provides 6 channels of strain gauge simulation with high accuracy and performance. Each channel provides a full bridge circuit with very fine resistance control of better than 2 milliohm in one bridge arm. The bridge can be excited by a fixed internal supply or by independent external bridge voltage sources, permitting direct connection to strain gauge measuring systems.

The 60-721 is an LXI conformant high performance RF multiplexer suitable for 75 ohm video signal routing. It is available in 24, 48 or 72 channel versions and is capable of switching frequencies up to 1GHz. Pickering Interfaces introduces a new range of PXI High Current Solid State Switching Modules. The 40-191 and 40-192 are 6-channel fault insertion switches with 2 fault busses capable of switching 10A, 200V and 30A, 40V respectively. The 40-182 and 40-183 are SPST solid state switches capable of switching 10A, 200V and 30A, 40V respectively. The 40-666 and 40-667 are solid state multiplexers available in dual 3 channel or single 6 channel configurations with 10A, 200V and 30A, 40V ratings respectively. The 40-330 is a power relay module with 24 separate SPST contacts, each capable of handling 4 Amps and hot switching 250 Volts AC. The cold switch rating of 1000 Volts peak makes the 40-330 ideal for high voltage test applications where hot switching is not required.

PXI Data Communications Multiplexer - July 2008
The 40-736 module is a configurable multiplexer specifically designed for the switching of data carried on differential pairs. It can be set under software control to switch 32 single pairs, 16 dual pairs or 8 quad pairs. It is ideal for switching signals such as POTS, USB, AFDX and 100BaseT Ethernet. Additionally, the high bandwidth of the multiplexer allows the switching of Gigabit Ethernet.

PXI Precision Programmable Resistor Modules - June 2008
The 40-261 is a 2 channel resistor module offering excellent resolution and accuracy and is available in two resistance ranges. The resistor channels cover the range of 1.5ohm to 2.9kohm or 10ohm to 36kohm with setting resolutions of less than 2mohm and 15mohm respectively. The 40-297 has a wider resistance range but, a lower resolution than the 40-261, and is available in three standard configurations of 1ohm to 230ohm, 2ohm to 13.5kohm and 3ohm to 1.5Mohm with 18, 9 and 6 channels respectively. The 6 channel version has a setting resolution of 0.125ohm.

The 40-500 is a solid state 64x4 matrix with 1.5A inrush and 0.5A continuous current rating at voltages up to 60V. It can reliably hot switch DC or AC signals with no impact on operational life. The module can handle 3A continuous on each Y axis connection making it suitable for power supply distribution applications. The matrix occupies just one 3U PXI slot.

PXI Fault Insertion Modules - April 2008 The 40-193 and 40-194 are fault insertion modules that aid Hardware-In-the-Loop testing of control systems under fault conditions. Both modules can handle 20A fault currents and the 40-194 can handle both high and low fault currents. Each module supports 7 channels of fault insertion, permitting the simulation of open circuits, shorts to a fault bus and shorts between channels.

ARINC Switching Modules - February 2008
The 40-569 & 40-618 specifically address ARINC 608A switching requirements for avionics test systems. These new PXI solutions offer very competitive alternatives compared to earlier VXI products. The new PXI ARINC 608A switching solutions provide more compact and cost effective implementations than alternative approaches, and provides simpler software control because of their highly integrated design. The 40-569 is a BRIC module that integrates the Resource Distributor and Bus Matrix inputs with an analog backplane to provide switching functions described in Appendix D of the specification. The 40-618 provides the general purpose SPST switches and 4 channel multiplexers described in Appendix D.

The 40-262 is the latest addition to the Precision Resistor module range and can accurately simulate up to 18 channels of resistive temperature devices (RTD) in a single PXI module with an unprecedented accuracy in the PXI format. Versions simulating PT100 and PT1000 sensors are available, other sensors can be supported on request.

60-800 & 60-820 LXI Microwave Multiplexers - December 2007
These multiplexers are the latest additions to Pickering's range of LXI microwave switching products. The 60-800 has a bandwidth up to 20GHz with a 50 ohm charateristic impedance. The 60-820 has a bandwidth up to 2.5GHz with a 75 ohm charateristic impedance. Both are available with 4, 8, 12 or 16 banks of high performance 6 to 1 multiplexers housed in 2U rack format with the convenience of remote control over Ethernet.

PXI Precision Resistor Module - October 2007
The 40-260 is the first of a new generation of programmable resistor modules from Pickering Interfaces. It features high setting resolution and excellent stability and accuracy through the use of innovative switching networks and software correction techniques. The 40-260 is available with three programmable resistor channels each with a range of 90 ohms to 8k ohms, custom resistance ranges are also available.
