New Serial Interface PXI Fault Insertion Modules – Pickering’s new PXI Fault Insertion model 40-200 is designed to simulate common faults on two wire communication interfaces such as CAN Bus and FlexRay. Their PXI Fault Insertion model 40-201 is designed for higher data rate serial interfaces such as AFDX and 1000BaseT Ethernet. Each module allows the introduction of fault connections that include data paths open; data paths shorted together and data paths shorted to externally applied faults such as power supplies and ground. 

PXI and PCI Fault Insertion Switching – The PCI Fault Insertion model 50-190 is available with 75, 64 or 36 channels at 2 Amp and is primarily designed for the simulation of fault conditions in automotive and avionics applications involving the reliability testing of safety critical controllers. In addition, the PXI Fault Insertion model 40-199 is available with 10-channels of 10 Amp switching and fault insertion busses capable of handling 20 Amps. 

PXI Power Switching Solutions – Used for automotive test applications, their model 40-553 matrix is capable of switching 10 Amp at 200V and their model 40-651 high-density 5 Amp multiplexer has 12 configuration options. 

PXI & PCI Programmable Resistor Solutions – PXI Programmable Resistor model 40-294 (also available in PCI format) features lower density and lower cost for simulating variable resistors. This module has 12 resistor options with resolutions of 0.25 Ohm to 2 Ohm and channel counts of two or four. Also featured in the booth will be the PCI Programmable Resistor model 50-297 (also available in PXI format) that offers up to 18 channels in a single slot and resolutions down to 0.125 Ohm. 

PXI Strain Gauge Simulator Module – The 40-265 PXI module (also available in PCI format) simulates the operation of a range of strain gauges making it ideal for testing strain gauge meters and a wide variety of industrial control systems. 

All of Pickering Interfaces’ PXI modules can be used in any PXI chassis, can be fitted to PXI hybrid slots in a PXIe chassis and can also be used in their LXI Modular chassis’ for users preferring control via an Ethernet port. 

Also highlighted in the booth will be their new eBIRST Switching System Test Tools. These tools, designed specifically for Pickering’s PXI, PCI or LXI (Ethernet) products, simplify switching system fault-finding by quickly testing the system and graphically identifying the faulty relays.
