Pickering Releases Upgraded Version of PXI Microwave Multiplexer

PXI Microwave Multiplexer

Clacton on Sea, UK – Pickering Interfaces, a leading provider of signal switching and conditioning solutions, is introducing an upgraded version of its PXI Microwave Multiplexer - the 40-784A. The new version now supports one, two, or three microwave multiplexers and the multiplexers can be ordered as either 4 way or 6 way.

The multiplexers fitted to each model are characterized for either 6GHz, 18GHz, 26.5GHz, or 40GHz bandwidth and have excellent performance throughout their frequency range. All models occupy just two 3U PXI slots. The single and dual multiplexer versions all feature LED’s that indicate which path of the multiplexer is closed.

“Customers continue to request more choice, higher density, and extra features in PXI switching,” comments Shaun Fuller, Switching Product Manager for Pickering Interfaces.  “The 40-784A microwave multiplexer improves frequency choice, adds the ability to support three multiplexers in a 2-slot PXI module, and it includes LED indicators on dual and single multiplexer configurations to aide test system development and debugging. We continue to react to customer demand for more flexibility in PXI switching”.

The 40-784A microwave multiplexer is compatible with any PXI chassis and can be fitted to PXI hybrid slots in a PXIe chassis. It can also be used in Pickering Interfaces LXI Modular Chassis for users preferring control via an Ethernet port. User connections are provided by industry standard SMA or SMA 2.9-type connectors.
