LXI Simulator
Pickering Interfaces offers a simulator for its LXI devices. This package is a full implementation of a Pickering LXI product running in a virtual machine, but the physical hardware of the switching system is emulated.
The simulator may be used for a variety of purposes but the primary objective during the creation of this virtual LXI was to provide a means for software development of switching systems without the need for the hardware to be present. This means that system software may be developed and tested before delivery of the hardware, minimising time required with the physical system. Pickering is able to provide simulation of products even before the design of the product is complete.
