Native .NET Driver for PXI and LXI

Pickering is pleased to announce a new driver, a native .NET driver for dual PXI and LXI use. This driver is capable of controlling the entire range of Pickering PXI and LXI switch solutions, the only exceptions are some of our 41 Series instrumentation cards. Any product currently using our pilpxi driver, or in a Pickering LXI product can be operated with this driver.

For LXI use the driver is self-sufficient, no other software is required. For PXI, this driver accesses the normal Pickering Direct IO driver, pilpxi, which must be installed.

The driver comprises three main classes:

• a base class providing the communication mechanism to the hardware

• a class for control of 40 and 60 series switch targets

• a class for the Power Sequencer

Other classes may be developed in future to cover other classifications of target device.
