Overview

The 20-795 Daisy Chain Switching Module forms part of the System 20 Programmable Switching system and uses a standard IEEE-488.2/RS-232 message based interface. The Module is designed for telecom test applications and allows production or verification testing of SONET/SDH transmission multiplexers, suitable for rates up to 2MBits/s. Traffic is sequentially Daisy-Chained through all tributaries (or any selection of tributaries), and modules can be cascaded to test any number of tributaries. Also, any selected Tributary may have its transmit port fed back directly to its receive port. This is achieved using loopbacks. A built-in breakout multiplexer allows separate testing of individual ports.
