Windows Drivers

We offer a range of different products for your differing needs. Depending on your particular hardware configuration you may require a different driver. Please see below the different requirements for your particular scenario.

PXI/PCI Switching (40/50 series)

This driver package contains the base drivers for both VISA and DirectIO (non-VISA) based systems. During the installation process you will be given the option of installing the driver for selecting either of them according to your needs. In the case of the VISA driver, you will need to have the National Instruments VISA package installed on your system before installing our driver. For the DirectIO driver there are no prerequisites, however if you wish to use Keysight VEE please install our Driver for Agilent VEE after installing our PXI Installer Package. Other than the base driver our PXI Installer Package also installs, our General Soft Front Panel allowing you to test controlling our modules without having to write code, and libraries for C, LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI. 

To use our IVI compliant interface you will need to install also need to our IVI Driver. For our IVI Driver we have the a few prerequisites. Please install the following before installing our IVI Driver in the order shown: 

• National Instruments VISA package
• National Instruments IVI Compliance Package
• PXI Driver Package (VISA)

PXI/PCI Instrument (41/51 series)

Most of our modules are covered by our PXI/PCI Switching Driver, however the some of our PXI/PCI Instrument modules require additional drivers. This can vary between modules so please follow the link to the Instrument Drivers where we provide a table of our instrument modules with links to the relevant drivers, software, and documentation. Please note that, in contrast to our PXI/PXI switching modules, some of our modules work exclusively with VISA, so you may need to have the National Instruments VISA package installed on your system before installing our driver. 

LXI (60 series)

This driver package contains several useful utilities including:

• Drivers allowing you to communicate with our LXI devices
• Resource Manager allowing you to apply aliases to our modules
• General Soft Front Panel allowing you to test our controlling our modules without having to write code first
• LXI discovery tool to help you locate LXI devices on your network
  
• Libraries for C, .NET, LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI

If the PXI/PCI Switch driver is installed, the ClientBridge libraries can be used on PXI/PCI modules as well as LXI devices. As PXI/PCI DirectIO (non-VISA) Driver, if you wish to use Keysight VEE please install our Agilent VEE wrapper after installing our LXI Driver. Please note if you are using a modular chassis, some of the PXI instrument modules are not supported. Please consult the user manual of the module to confirm support in LXI modular chassis.
